The 4D Additive Manufacturing Research Workshop 2025, held on 11 July, brought together experts across academia and industry to chart the future of 4D additive manufacturing (4DAM). With sessions on Aerospace/Advanced Manufacturing, Soft Robotics, and MedTech, participants identified real-world applications, defined technical requirements, and outlined key research priorities to accelerate adoption. The workshop report—now available—provides a foundation for continued roadmapping discussions and advancing 4DAM from promising research to impactful industrial solutions.
